State of Colorado
In Colorado, you must complete an approved Colorado driver education course to receive your permit at the age of 15. Once you complete the course, you will receive your Affidavit of Completion which you must take with you to apply for your permit.
Any person who operates a motor vehicle, motorcycle/moped on a public roadway is required to be at least sixteen (16) years of age and have a valid driver's license. (See the Colorado Drivers Handbook for special exeptions).
Any person who owns or operates a business in Colorado or who resides in the state continuously for ninety (90) days or is employed within the state, whichever occurs first, is considered a Colorado resident. (See the Colorado Drivers Handbook for special exeptions).

Colorado 30-Hour Driver Education Course
Approved by the State of Colorado to fulfill your driver education classroom requirement. (Colorado state approved course #9122).
If you are ready to get your Colorado Driver Permit, then this class is for you. By taking this course, you will meet your driver education requirement as stated in statute 42-2-106 of Colorado law, and are able to receive your driving permit at the age of fifteen (15) after completing your permit exam at a Department of Motor Vehicles office. This certificate is accepted as meeting your Colorado driver education requirement for up to six (6) months after completion.
